An experiment in perceiving a colour overlayed on differently coloured backgrounds.

Logic: Two random colours for the background are generated. A rectangle in colour of the user’s choosing is overlayed on top. The vertical rectangle, splitting the background is a negative of the horizontal rectangle.

Although always the same, the horizontal rectangle sometimes appears darker or lighter depending on the background.
